PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Rhode Island Department of Revenue (DOR) has launched a set of redesigned websites to simplify and speed service to its constituents. While the web addresses for the department, www.dor.ri.gov, and its divisions remain the same, visitors to the revamped sites will find it easier to access the department’s resources, documents, and staff.

In addition to the department’s central website, the relaunch includes sites for the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the Division of Municipal Finance (DMF), and the Division of Taxation, as well as restructured content for the Central Collections Unit and the Office of Revenue Analysis.

The relaunch of the DOR websites is part of a comprehensive restructuring of the state’s online presence being led by the Rhode Island Division of Information Technology (DoIT) Web Services team within the state Department of Administration, which is working in conjunction with vendor NIC RI.

“We expect Rhode Islanders and the other constituents who interact daily with the DOR and its divisions will find the redesigned websites full of useful information and easy to navigate,” said Department of Revenue Director Guillermo Tello. “I want to thank not just the DOIT and eCMS teams for leading us through this process but all of the divisional team members who put in months of effort revising and reorganizing the content that is so important for the public to access.”

Updating its websites is the latest in a series of projects the DOR and its divisions have taken in recent years to improve their constituent service. The launches follow introduction of the DMV’s customer service reservation system, the introduction of DMF’s Municipal Transparency Portal, and the Division of Taxation’s Taxpayer Portal.

The Department of Revenue consists of six divisions: Central Collections Unit, Division of Motor Vehicles, Division of Municipal Finance, Division of Taxation, Office of Revenue Analysis, and Rhode Island Lottery.
